Why am I involved?
I am involved with this project because i think that American democracy is at an extremely dangerous turning point. The framers believed (or so it seems) that anyone who would stand for the office of president of the US of A would be a person of high moral character who also believes deeply in the constitution and the ideals thereof. We have seen in the last three years how a person of extremely low to nonexistent moral character can not only run for office but they can win.
They can also completely ignore the guardrails that we thought were built in to the system to safeguard against such behavior and use the powers of the office to feather and gild their own nest. I believe that we can stop this, but in order to do so, we must *all* vote. If it is inconvenient, dangerous, socially uncool with your friends, no matter. just *do* it! It really is a matter of life and death...
